NuWin Protocol Nodes are the primary infrastructure unit of the Novus Network. Run a node, participate in the protocol, and earn proportional rewards from daily FWRD emissions.
Node Types
The Novus Network supports two node types, each serving a distinct role in the ecosystem.
NuWin Protocol Node
A licensed node that participates in the network protocol, contributing to network availability and ecosystem operations.
Requirements
A valid NuWin Protocol License NFT and active hosting.
Validator Node
A licensed node that participates in consensus by validating blocks and securing the network.
Requirements
Validator License NFT, a minimum stake of 100,000 FWRD, and active hosting.
How Rewards Work
Following mainnet activation, daily FWRD emissions are allocated across four reward pools. Node operators earn from the Node Operator Rewards pool, receiving rewards proportional to their share of total active network points.
- 40% of daily emissions go to Node Operator Rewards
- 40% of daily emissions go to Proof-of-Action Rewards
- 10% of daily emissions go to Staking Rewards
- 10% of daily emissions go to Long Term Lock Rewards
Each active node earns points based on node type. NuWin Protocol Nodes earn 10 points per active day. Validator Nodes earn 100 points per active day. Rewards are distributed proportionally based on each operator’s share of total active network points.
Staking
Participants can stake FWRD to smart contracts to signal long-term commitment, reduce circulating supply, and earn proportional rewards from the staking pool. Staking is voluntary and does not create a deposit account, is not insured, and does not guarantee any specific return.
Node Hosting
All nodes require active hosting to earn rewards. License holders provision their own hosting and can choose any provider. Innovation Hosting is the preferred third-party provider for the Novus Network, offering one-click deployment for NuWin Protocol Node license holders who want a streamlined setup.
License NFTs
Node licenses are issued as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). A valid NuWin Protocol License NFT or Validator License NFT is required per node. Rewards are sent to the wallet holding the license NFT. Nodes must be actively operating and detectable by the network to earn points.
